If you give Gwen her broken flute, she will take you to a secret 7 levels dungeon and you can get the ultimate ultimate weapons from the end chest.

see what i got

but first you must get the flute in Hard Mode outside Sardilac Sanitarium,

happy days! and have fun.

Yes. A boss dropping his green depends on if he is wielding it, not where you kill him.

way back in 2005, i saw a lvl 20 in pre-sear. i asked how he did it and he told me that after you beat the game, you can go to the underworld in tombs and there was a portal to take you back there. (dont forget this was back when hero's acent was in tombs and the first map is called the underworld)

and i ruined countless groups trying to find the portal.

/sigh... i miss them good ole' noob days.

I understand most groups want you to be level 20, but you dont HAVE to be.

Ive offered to pay 5k+cost of entry and forfeit my drops as lvl 17-18 to many groups so that I could get experience boosts from quests completed... only to be rejected for the above reason.
o.O; I thought you had to be. Just like you have to to get in GVG and ABs and such, I was almost sure an update made it where only level 20s could enter. I know you need to be ascended, but I thought you ALSO had to be level 20.

All bosses wield their greens if they can.

Loki's post is how it used to be, if I'm not mistaken, but now Savio is the correct one... if I'm not mistaken.

You can't be a "real" SS without Arcane Echo.

being the one who does the 'killing blow' will net you the drop from that enemy....(and being the one who does the killing blow on the boss will net YOU the green item).....

meh.

i use to farm Zelnehlun Fastfoot a lot (still do durring event's, great run to get event drops fast) and when loot scaling came out, alot of people quit because they couldn't make 1k in a 5 min run off the whites.. then people started saying that if you killed each monster one at a time, you got just as many drops as before loot scaling.

i actually heard this so much i went in and did an hour of killing the group quickly as a whole, then an hour of killing them one at a time, and recorded all of my drops - and low and behold i got the exact same number of items, of each rareity level both times.

even after showing my data i couldn't get people to believe that you get three times the items per run when you kill them one at a time, because it takes you three times as long to do each run.. - in the end they are the same.

At least one of them anyway
I had someone thoroughly conviniced that if you had cleared everything in uw, every quest, killed every monster, all the nighmare pops, everything, that a secret uw crafter would pop up in the labrinthe and craft an armor that had the same material requirements as fow but a different look......yes i know, i'm a douche bag.

Just wandering if anyone ever hear about this?

that if there are a lot of ice imp outside the cave, icy dragon swords will most likely not drop, and if alot of the ice imp are located inside the case the icy dragon swords' drop chance are higher? or vice versa, i couldn't remember but is that true?

also just wandering, has anyone try giving the broken flute to gwen in HoM?

I remember someone telling me that the ascalon armor conferred a +20 armor bonus against charr.

Oh man, I loved my first week of GW. I didn't know squat.

I remember doing 'The great Northern Wall' when I was just so so new to the game.
A lvl20 in the out post said he would walk us thru......
Everything was going fine, he was even pointing out the enemies, and what they did...
When it came to the part where you run for your life from the charr army, he said " Just face them with me, if you kill them all, you get a gold item drop for everyone on the team...I have been farming this for weeks."
heh...you know what happened next.
bless us all, we were all noobs at one time...

well, its sort of like the OP, but when i had a run around the desert i had a strange elementalist who was also getting a run, and he said he was the son of abbadon and he wields the sword of 5 gods, or something along those lines. but then he proceeded to say he was indestructable and could simply be ressurected by dwayna, guess the game got too much into his head.
